Antitrust team practice took part in the preparation of the new edition of the GCR - The Europe, Middle East and Africa Antitrust Review 2022.

The article summarises the legal framework and procedure for executing M&A transactions in Russia, outlines the principal changes and new rules introduced into the laws on the protection of competition as regards the assessment of M&A transactions. Furthermore, the article demonstrates, based on examples from practice, the specifics of application of the provisions of competition laws, as well as the key features that are assessed by the antimonopoly authority when analysing M&A transactions.
