29 June to 1 July 2022 are the dates of the 10th St. Petersburg International Legal Forum. The SPBILF is a major platform for dialogue among members of the legal, business, political, and law-enforcement communities. It will address a wide range of issues focusing on how law can better serve the interests of people and businesses. It will also address improvements to law-enforcement practices and the promotion of legislative initiatives to strengthen the legal culture and the regulation of social and economic sphere in the world today.
At the Forum, BGP Litigation will be represented by Alexander Panov, Partner and Head of the Life Sciences & Technology practice, Irina Akimova, Partner and Head of the Competition practice, and Chairwoman of the Association of Antitrust Experts General Council, as well as by Gayane Shtoyan, Attorney and Senior Associate with our Family Law practice.
Alexander Panov will speak at the “Genetics and Law: The Challenges of 2020-2030” discussion panel that will be held from 15:00 to 16:30 on 29 June. The panelists will cover the issues of legal regulation of bioresource centres, aimed at ensuring uniformity of the rules and requirements to the formation of genetic resource collections, as well as to the storage and provision of samples in line with global standards.
Irina will speak at the FAS of Russia panel on “Improvement of Laws and State Regulation of Mandatory Tender Procedures: Russian and Global Practice” at 12:15 to 13:30 on 30 June. Panel participants will cover the key issues of the development of public regulation of tender procedures.
Gayane Shtoyan will speak at the panel on “Psychological Support for the Public: Improvement of Legal Regulation” that will take place at 12:15 to 13:45 on 30 June. The panelists will discuss Russia’s acute need for prompt improvement of the entire system of legal regulation of social relations arising in the sphere of psychological services for the public.
