BGP Litigation Announces the Opening of a Compliance and Sanctions Practice

BGP Litigation is happy to announce the opening of a Compliance and Sanctions practice, to be headed by our Partners Tatyana Neveeva and Alexander Panov. The practice’s team will work in regulatory and anti-corruption compliance, perform due diligence of existing and potential counterparties and payment operations, and advise clients on the applicability of the sanctions introduced by the EU, US, and other countries, as well as on the structuring and adjusting contractual relations in order to mitigate risks.

“We advise clients on a wide range of issues of the sanctions laws of various countries and help our clients obtain licenses. We also structure transactions, perform due diligence, develop compliance mechanisms and policies, and create solutions related to asset holding and management. The experience we have accumulated allows us to efficiently support our clients in turbulent market conditions,” BGP Litigation Partner Tatyana Neveeva says.

“In the last few years, our team has accumulated extensive practical experience of advising clients on regulatory and anti-corruption compliance, performing due diligence of the corporate and contractual structure of companies to confirm that they comply with the effective laws. The spin-off of compliance into a separate practice is a logical development in light of a great influx of requests from clients and increasingly tougher sanctions,” BGP Litigation Alexander Panov comments.

BGP Litigation is a leading Russian law firm specialising in comprehensive support of businesses and dispute resolution. The Firm has been present in the Russian market for more than 15 years and employs over 100 lawyers. The Compliance and Sanctions practice will become the fourteenth area of our focus.
