BGP Litigation announces the joining of partner Sergey Glandin to the firm. Sergey will lead the firm's compliance and sanctions law practice group.
Sergey is a recognised expert in sanctions law and sanctions compliance. He has been specialising in sanctions since 2014. Sergey has successfully completed dozens of sanctions compliance and due diligence projects acting for Russian and international investors, has conducted audits and made sanctions and regulatory risk matrices for large holding companies, their beneficial owners and senior executives. Sergey also specialises in business reputation protection. Before September 2022, Sergey was the author and lecturer of three special sanctions courses at the law school of Lomonosov Moscow State University where he was also giving a general course in international and EU law. Sergey is currently a master's programme lecturer at HSE University and delivers original training on aspects of sanctions law and compliance for business people.
Before joining BGP Litigation, Sergey was head of sanctions law and compliance at NSP Advocates, and prior to that he led the sanctions law and compliance practice group at Pen & Paper, Attorneys at Law. Sergey is personally ranked by Pravo-300, Russia's leading legal directory.
