A team of BGP Litigation lawyers has supported entry onto the market by a series of Russia’s first electric cars. The manufacturer, Lipetsk company Motorinvest, has already announced the sales launch of electric cars under the brand name Evolutе, which is based on the ESG concept – preservation of environmental sustainability by industry. The cars can already be found in dealership centres in six regions. The company plans to open about sixteen new car salons to sell the new cars.
BGP Litigation lawyers took part in building the contractual basis allowing the client to expand its presence in Russia, including by drafting all the dealership agreements, accompanying contracts and documents.
The project under the leadership of BGP Litigation Partner Alexander Panov was handled by Senior Associate Ekaterina Tretyakova.
“We are pleased to be able to support the business in implementing such ambitious high-tech projects of significance for the client company and for the Russian economy as a whole, including in the context of ESG development. The tools our lawyers use and their profound understanding of business strategy help clients achieve a visible result quickly and effectively. Motoroinvest’s project is a shining example of this”, noted BGP Litigation Partner Alexander Panov.
“We are grateful to the client for putting their trust in us and glad to be involved in such a consistent and unique project”, added BGP Litigation Senior Associate Ekaterina Tretyakova.
Early in the year, BGP Litigation supported the client in concluding a special investment contract. Under the 11-year SIC, Motorinvest plans to invest over 13 billion roubles in setting up production.
